The total profit would be $2747 (The total revenue was $5590, and the total expense is $2843. Therefore the difference between the revenue and the expenses is the profit)

Answer:

$2,747

Explanation:

Given charges by the salon;

haircuts = $40

color treatment = $65

styling = $30

Number of

Haircut sales = 68

Color treatment = 34

styling = 22

Revenue from;

Haircut sales = 68 × $40 = $2720

Color treatment = 34 × $65 = $2210

Styling = 22 × $30 = $660

Total revenue = $5590

Cost = $2843

Profit = $5590 - $2843

Profit = $2,747

Imagine a linear demand curve graphed with Quantity on the x-axis and Price on the y-axis. We know the middle of the curve is th
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

A. That's the point where total revenue is maximized

Explanation:

Demand Curve is a downward sloping curve representing inverse  relationship between price & quantity demanded.

Elasticity of Demand is the responsiveness of quantity demanded to price change. It can be measured geometrically on a demand curve point by :

Demand curve segment below the point / Demand curve segment above the point.

This way the elasticity keeps on decreasing as we move downwards on the demand curve [Ed=∞ to Ed >1 to Ed = 1 to Ed < 1 to Ed = 0] i.e [from perfectly elastic to elastic to unitary elastic to inelastic to perfectly inelastic demand].

If Demand is Elastic [Ed >1] : There is negative relationship between price and Total Revenue. This point is on the upper segment of demand curve as per geometric method, P- TR negative relationship implies that TR can be increased by decreasing Price.

If Demand is Inelastic [Ed <1] : There is positive relationship between price &total revenue. This point is on the lower segment of demand curve as per geometric method, P-TR positive relationship implies that TR can be increased by increasing price.

So: The best Total Revenue Maximising point is on the middle of demand curve where demand is unitary elastic [Ed=1] - as any other deviation from this point would create an incentive to change price to generate higher revenue.

A recent Mega Millions estimated jackpot amount is $300 million which is the undiscounted sum of the 26 annuity option payments
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

Itis better to take the case in hand of 207,000,000 millions

Explanation:

We need to calcualte the present value of a geometric annuity-due

\frac{1-(1+g)^{n}\times (1+r)^{-n} }{r - g}

g 0.05

r 0.04

C 4,515,432

n 26

n 26

\frac{1-(1+0.05)^{26}\times (1+0.04)^{-26} }{0.04-0.05}

 127,557,727.45

As is an annuity due, we multiply by (1+r)

127,557,727.45 x (1+0.04) = 132,660,036,548

The present value of the 207,000,000 option is better as the annuity present value is around 130,000,000

LO 6.5Why is absorption costing the method allowable for GAAP?
MAXImum [283]

Answer:

Explanation: Absorption Costing is the accepted method of of product costing because it takes into account all costs related to the production which includes all variable and fixed costs.

Using the absorption costing method, all normal manufacturing costs are treated as product costs and subsequently included as inventory in the financial statements. All Inventory costs are reflected in the income statement and the balance sheet.

while the use of variable costing method is not accepted because it only considers the variable costs, direct material and direct labour and leave out all fixed costs which is not accepted by GAAPS.
