What factors contributed to the rise of political machines and their bosses? What were the positive as well as the negative aspe
OLEGan [10]
There were many factors that led to the rise of political machines in American cities in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. One of the major factors that led to the rise of political machines was the rise of immigrant populations who sought to gain and increase their influence in the political realm and served as a powerful political tool for political machines. Political machines worked to enfranchise these voters through a system of patronage, and bribes and would bring them out on election days to support politicians who paid political bosses or awarded government privileges to. Positive aspects of this system were that it gave some increased level of representation of immigrant populations and worked to enfranchise these new political groups. However, these machines led to a high level of corruption and hurt the meritocracy of government institutions at the time.

Which statements are examples of Charlemagne’s achievements?
Butoxors [25]

Answer: Was crowned pope on Christmas Day, A.D. 800 / united a vast realm under the Christian faith.

Explanation:

Some historians consider Charlemagne to be one of the most significant figures of medieval Europe. Due to his military and political influences, he became the most influential figure in Western Europe. In so doing, the term "Christian Empire" he uses has become synonymous with the entire Christian West, in opposition to the Byzantine Empire. By his coronation, Charlemagne became the patron saint of the whole Christian West and the papacy. Its impact is enormous in all fields of life. His inauguration was boycotted by Byzantium, leading to war. The war ended in Aachen in 812, and Byzantium thus had to acknowledge Charles's imperial rule.

tekilochka [14]

Answer:

Third person objective.

Explanation:

The narrative point of view is the voice or point of view from which a story is told. It is the perspective or side on which the narration is based on.

In the given passage, the narration is done from a third-person objective point of view. This is because the narrator is simply describing the scene and has no knowledge of the characters and their feelings or emotions. Moreover, he is not part of the story/ scene and thus, is a silent, absent speaker who is simply telling or describing the scene for the readers.

Thus, the correct answer is the third person objective point of view.
