The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is known as far reaching due to the language it was passed with. For example, this law helps to stop workplace discrimination based on sex, religion, color, race, or national origin. These different qualifications make it wide reaching, as before this time laws were usually very specific as to who they applied to.
For example, the 15th amendment states that one cannot be stopped from voting based on race, color, or past servitude. This law was specifically targeted at helping African-Americans.
As you can see, with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, it includes individuals other than those African-Americans who are fighting for civil rights. Along with this, the Civil Rights Act ends segregation in public places. This makes it so that this law applies to all citizens, not just African-Americans.

Before Roosevelt introduced this plan, the Supreme Court have rejected many elements of his New Deal plan because the authority held by the Executive was too much and considered unconstitutional. He thought that by adding more justices to the Supreme Court, it would protect his legislation. Still it was rejected by both liberals and conservatives.
Washington had nothing to gain from the American Revolution, at least in a material sense. He had achieved both wealth and fame as a British subject in colonial Virginia. Yet he was among the first to raise the possibility of armed resistance and accepted command of the Continental Army. He served for the eight and a half years of the Revolution without pay. Though his army was inexperienced, often outnumbered, and poorly supplied, Washington was able to avoid defeat, wear down the British forces, and eventually achieve victory. With independence secured in 1783 by a peace treaty with Britain, Washington appeared before Congress and publicly resigned his military position, returning to Mount Vernon a private citizen of the new nation. His plantation had suffered greatly during his absence and the war.
Manifest Destiny rationalizations were rooted in the early years of our country. I just changed it into a statement rather then a question
