Answer:

Species are groups of reproducing populations that are isolated from other groups.

Explanation:

All organisms that belong to the same species are able to mate with each other and produce viable and fertile offspring. However, in some case the species belonging to different species are also able to mate but they produce infertile offspring. These infertile offspring are healthy but they cannot reproduce. Thus, it is better that organisms belonging to one species are kept away from the organisms of other species.

What is the best explanation as to why the Thwaites Glacier is melting so rapidly?
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

Carbon dioxide has been released by the burning of fossil fuels. This process is increasing the ocean's water temperature resulting in the glacier melting

Explanation:

The carbon dioxide emissions have constantly been on the rise ever since the Industrial Revolution occurred. The burning of the fossil fuels is the main reason why there is such high quantity of this gas released into the atmosphere. The carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, thus it contributes to the arming up of the atmosphere. Because the atmosphere is warming up, the water is warming up as well. The higher temperature of the water results in melting of the glaciers, such as Thwaites Glacier. As the process continues, more and more of the glacier will be melted, with the end result being relatively big rise of the sea level.
