Answer:

According to Becker the three stages that an individual must go through in order to use Marijuana for pleasure are:

 • Learning the technique — This involves learning the "right" way to smoke the drug. Learning usually happens in the presence of others and or through observation;
 • Learning to perceive the effects - According to Becker, the satisfaction from the 'being high' comes as a result of the symptoms and as well as ones ability to recognise the symptoms. When the novice learns to understand the symptoms, they become a source of "pleasure" to which they look forward to.
 • Learning to enjoy the effects — Becker says that the effects are not pleasurable at the onset. The taste is acquired by reason of socialization with those who have come to appreciate the taste. Becker likens the acquisition of the taste for marijuana to how other tastes are acquired such as alcohol. Research shows that at the onset, the effects of marijuana may often be frightening, irritating and or abnormal unless these can be redefined in the brain as pleasurable, then the subject may not continue to use it.

dybincka [34]

Answer:

Population.

Explanation:

When conducting a study, we say that the population is the complete set of people with some specific characteristics from which a sample will be taken.

A sample is the subset that is taken from the population and the sample is the one that is actually selected for study purposes.

In this example, Professor DeVries interviewed 50 of the school students (sample), thus, all the children attending the school would be considered to be the population since the subset of 50 students was taken from it.

ruslelena [56]

d) Liver pain.

e) Gallbladder pain.

What is visceral pain?

Your stomach, bladder, uterus, or rectum can all cause visceral discomfort, which is pain that originates from your internal organs. It is a sort of nociceptive pain, which implies that it is brought on by illnesses that induce swelling, pressure, or an injury. Visceral pain includes stomach discomfort from irritable bowel syndrome and pelvic pain brought on by a bladder infection.

If you have an infection, trauma, disease, growth, bleeding, or anything else that puts pressure on, injures, or inflames the interior or outside of your internal organs, you may have visceral pain.

To warn you of illness or injury, the sensory nerves in your organs have pain receptors called nociceptors that convey signals to the spinal cord and brain.
