Finally, we can see the family's impotence for Greek society at the time that this work was written, since fidelity to the family is very much addressed throughout history.
In relation to Odysseus, we can see that being an admired man had some disadvantages, such as the need to defend his territory and need to stay away from the family he loves. Odysseus faced many adventures in order to return to his home and family and proved to be a hero, but he has flaws, infidelity, fears and even exaggerated cunning.
