D. FEMA

FEMA stands for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  Today, it operates as an agency within the Department of Homeland Security.  It was originally created in 1979 as a way of coordinating the response when a disaster occurs and local and state agencies are not enough to manage the situation.

FEMA didn't manage the Katrina situation as well as it should have, and emphasis on making FEMA more responsive has been in focus since then. The annual budget of FEMA in 2017 was around 15 billion dollars ... but Congress needed to appropriate additional funds (to a total of around 22 billion dollars) because of the massive impact of hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria inflicted so much damage.  Those hurricanes did a total of about 200 billion dollars in damage -- FEMA is only one source of aid in efforts to rebuild and repair after disasters hit.

What tragic connection did many of the leaders share?
Alinara [238K]
The tragic connection that many of the leaders share is one time in their lives, they have experienced hardships and lost someone in the process. Also, most of them strive for greatness because they want to make a change in the world so no one would experience the same thing that they have.

What are some ways nitrogen is removed from the atmosphere/6745482/dc3bfc0a?utm_source=registration
Anon25 [30]

One way could be through natural nitrogen fixation; this is an important part of the natural nitrogen cycle were nitrogen gas (N2) in the atmosphere is transformed into ammonia (NH3) in the surface.  Some bacteria, the diazotrophs, both living in the soil and in symbiosis with root nodules of some plants, use the enzymes or also known as nitrogenizes, to alter the nitrogen into a practice that can be used by living organisms.
