Answer;

Yes

Explanation;

-Yes it is possible that a structure as complex as an image-forming eye evolved by natural selection. if the photoreceptor cells and simple eyes that preceded it were useful to the animals in which they arose. Additionally, such photoreceptors and simple eyes can be seen in many living animals.

-According to scientists; the simple light-sensitive spot on the skin of some ancestors gave it some tiny survival advantage. Random changes then created a depression in the light-sensitive patch, a deepening pit that made "vision" a little sharper and also the pit's opening gradually narrowed, so light entered through a small aperture. Then the light-sensitive spot evolved into a retina, the layer of cells and pigment at the back of the human eye and over time a lens formed at the front of the eye.

What is anabolism? Give an example. What is catabolism also give an example
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

Anabolism is the synthesis of complex molecules in living organisms from simpler ones together with the storage of energy.

Examples of anabolism: bone growth and mineralization, and muscle mass build-up.

Catabolism: the breakdown of complex molecules in living organisms to form simpler ones, together with the release of energy.

Examples of Catabolism: glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, the breakdown of muscle protein in order to use amino acids as substrates for gluconeogenesis, the breakdown of fat in adipose tissue to fatty acids, and oxidative deamination of neurotransmitters by monoamine oxidase.

Which of the following statements does not apply to the K value in the equation for the oxygen binding curve of myoglobin? A) It
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

D) If Y > K, then myoglobin is less than 50% saturated with oxygen.

Explanation:

a regular curve is displayed by myoglobin. when the concentration of oxygen is decreased, the myoglobin will saturate very quickly which means that the myoglobin have very high affinity for the oxygen and dont  easily release oxygen.

so if Y>k, then myoglobin is less than 50% saturated with oxygen.
