Answer:

a)7

b)2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

Total bagels = 8 dozen

We know that 1 dozen = 12

So

8 dozen = 8 x 12 =96 bagels

Each plate can hold 14 bagels

So total number of plates of bagels = 96/14

total number of plates of bagels = 6.85

Plate can not be in fraction So nearest integer will be 7.

So total 7 plates have Mr.Corsetti  .

Now to fill 7 plates completely   = 7 x 14=98

It means that 2 more plates will needed.

A CD has a 5% chance of being a smash hit and profiting $5.2 million, a 50% chance of being a modest success and profiting $0.9
Zinaida [17]
The probability of profiting $5.2 million is 5% = 0.05

The probability of profiting $0.9 million is 50% = 0.5

The probability of breaking even, meaning no profit gain, is 45% = 0.45

Expected profit values of the CD is given by
(0.05×5.2) + (0.5×0.9) + (0.45×0) = 0.26+0.45+0 = 0.71 million

The weekly salary Y of an individual is proportional to the number of hours X worked. A person who works 40 hours is paid 900$.
Simora [160]

Answer:

y = 22.5x

worked 28 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

First find out what they make in 1 hour (rather than 40)

you can do this by 900 / 40 which gives you 22.5

this means for every hour worked, they get $22.50

so you can make the equation of y = 22.5x

try finding the hours worked by division

630/ 22.5 = 28

plug 28 into your equation to check

y = 22.5 ( 28 )

y = $630

hope this helps
