Hence, the area of cloth so used is: 7x square meter.

Hence, we get:

         2x²= 7x

   ⇒  2x²-7x=0

   ⇒  (2x-7)x=0

  ⇒  either x=0 or 2x-7=0

 ⇒  x=7/2

Hence, the least amount of fabric she should buy is:

                 7/2 meter in length
