1. celerity - this word is related to the speed of the motion, so it can be related to the film movement in the sentence.

2. solicitous - to be helpful and careful to someone, which can be related to the clients in the situation.

3 and 8 turbulent - the tumultuous and troubled characteristic of something, confusing. On number 3, turbulent refers to Marty's war experiences. On number 8, turbulent refers to Jessie's confusing feelings.

4. perturb - to make someone upset. Kathleen gets upset when someone is unkind to a child.

5 and 9. exigent - something that is urgent, needs immediate attention; very demanding. On number 5, the situation required immediate attention. On number 9, the "sports-hater" - a person - is very demanding on high standards.

6. assay - to see, examine. In the sentence, the troops feared that the enemy force would see their weak spot in the defense of the stronghold and attack from there.

7. resuscitate - to revive, bring someone back to a state of consciousness. When someone has fainted, he/she goes to an unconscious state of mind, therefore the need of resuscitation.

10. turbid - opaque, obscure. In this sentence, the critics compare the writer's poetry to a stream, once bright and clear, now dark, turbid, opaque.

11. alacrity - enthusiastic readiness. Since he was assigned a report on his favorite musician, he was very excited and started writing the report with enthusiasm.

12. incite - to cause someone to an unpleasant response. The chosen words in the pamphlets may be the cause of some protest.
