NEED HELP

Mathematics
1 answer:

First use distributive property on both sides of the equation.
-9(-16 - f) = 4(1 - 3f)
144 + 9f = 4 - 12f
Then isolate f on one side of the equation:
3f = -140
f = 46.67 --> (which is equal to -140/3)
I'm sorry I couldn't help more. I don't know why it's wrong. Maybe try putting in it decial form instead.

What is the coefficient of x2y3 in the expansion of (2x + y)5?
Zigmanuir [339]

Option C:

The coefficient of x^{2} y^{3} is 40.

Solution:

Given expression:

(2 x+y)^{5}

Using binomial theorem:

(a+b)^{n}=\sum_{i=0}^{n}\left(\begin{array}{l}n \\i\end{array}\right) a^{(n-i)} b^{i}

Here a=2 x, b=y

Substitute in the binomial formula, we get

(2x+y)^5=\sum_{i=0}^{5}\left(\begin{array}{l}5 \\i\end{array}\right)(2 x)^{(5-i)} y^{i}

Now to expand the summation, substitute i = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

$=\frac{5 !}{0 !(5-0) !}(2 x)^{5} y^{0}+\frac{5 !}{1 !(5-1) !}(2 x)^{4} y^{1}+\frac{5 !}{2 !(5-2) !}(2 x)^{3} y^{2}+\frac{5 !}{3 !(5-3) !}(2 x)^{2} y^{3}

                                                            $+\frac{5 !}{4 !(5-4) !}(2 x)^{1} y^{4}+\frac{5 !}{5 !(5-5) !}(2 x)^{0} y^{5}

Let us solve the term one by one.

$\frac{5 !}{0 !(5-0) !}(2 x)^{5} y^{0}=32 x^{5}

$\frac{5 !}{1 !(5-1) !}(2 x)^{4} y^{1} = 80 x^{4} y

$\frac{5 !}{2 !(5-2) !}(2 x)^{3} y^{2}= 80 x^{3} y^{2}

$\frac{5 !}{3 !(5-3) !}(2 x)^{2} y^{3}= 40 x^{2} y^{3}

$\frac{5 !}{4 !(5-4) !}(2 x)^{1} y^{4}= 10 x y^{4}

$\frac{5 !}{5 !(5-5) !}(2 x)^{0} y^{5}=y^{5}

Substitute these into the above expansion.

(2x+y)^5=32 x^{5}+80 x^{4} y+80 x^{3} y^{2}+40 x^{2} y^{3}+10 x y^{4}+y^{5}

The coefficient of x^{2} y^{3} is 40.

Option C is the correct answer.

Which is the best buy?
olga55 [171]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

When you divide each of the prices by the amount of candy bars, B is the lowest. The price for 1 candy bar with A's price is 1.75. The price for 1 candy bar for B's is 1.71. The price for 1 candy bar with C's is 1.73 and the price of 1 candy bar for D's is 1.74. Again, B has the lowest price for 1 candy bar so the correct answer is B.

Math sequences number patterns
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)

Note the squared value in column 3 which is the square of 1 more than the row number, that is

row 2 → (2 + 1)² →3²

row 3 → (3 + 1)² → 4²

Find the square root of 676 = 26 → (25 + 1)² = 26²

Hence the row number is 25

(b)

The pattern in column 1 is [ row number × (row number + 2 ) + 1 ]

row number is n then n(n + 2) + 1 = n² + 2n + 1

What is a possible solution for x+6≥10
ira [324]

Answer:

4,5,6

Step-by-step explanation:

*The sign of ≥ means that it must be greater or equal to 10 in this case

1). 3 isn't a possible solution due to 9 being less than 10

3+6_10

9_10

9<10

2). 4 is a possible solution due to the sum of 4 and 6 being equal to 10

4+6_10

10_10

10=10

3). 5 is a possible solution due to the sum of 5 and 6 being larger than 10

5+6_10

11_10

11>10

4).6 is a possible solution due to the sum of 6 and 6 being larger than 10

6+6_10

12_10

12>10

Hope this helped! (:
