Answer:

The Roche limit for the Moon orbiting the Earth is 2.86 times radius of Earth

Explanation:

The nearest distance between the planet and its satellite at where the planets gravitational pull does not torn apart the planets satellite is known as Roche limit.

The relation to determine Roche limit is:

Roche\ limit=2.423\times R_{P}\times\sqrt[3]{\frac{D_{P} }{D_{M} } }     ....(1)

Here R_{P} is radius of planet and D_{P}\ and\ D_{M} are density of planet and moon respectively.

According to the problem,

Density of Earth,D_{P} = 5.5 g/cm³

Density of Moon,D_{M} = 3.34 g/cm³

Consider R_{E} be the radius of the Earth.

Substitute the suitable values in the equation (1).

Roche\ limit=2.423\times R_{E}\times\sqrt[3]{\frac{5.5 }{3.34 } }

Roche\ limit= 2.86R_{P}

anice measured the mass and the volume of an object. She then determined the density of the object by dividing the object’s mass
Debora [2.8K]
<h2>Answer:  g/cm³</h2>

Explanation:

Since mass is being divided by volume, the units must also represent this ratio. Since mass can be given in grams and volume in cubic centimeters, then g/cm³ is the likely answer in this case.

Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

0.75 second

Explanation:

The equation is

h = 16t^{2}+64 t + 16

Let t be the time when it is at 73 feet. Substitute, h = 73 in the above equation and then find the value of t.

73 = 16t^{2}+64 t + 16

16t^{2}+64 t-57=0

t=\frac{-64\pm \sqrt{64^{2}+4\times 16\times 57}}{2\times 16}

t=\frac{-64\pm 88}{32}

Take positive sign

t = 0.75 second

There are several different models that represent compounds. One type of model is shown.
Mrac [35]

Answer: Option (a) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

A formula that represents how atoms are linked or joined together is known as a structural formula.

For example, the model given in the image (in question) represents arrangement of all the atoms. Therefore, it is a structural formula.

Whereas a chemical formula represents a compound along with ratio of compounds.

A space filling model and a ball-stick model is a three dimensional model. In space filling model atoms are represented by spheres whereas in ball stick model atoms are represented by ball and bonds are represented by stick.
