How can homologous structures in the forelimbs of these four organisms be used as evidence to suggest that life changes over tim

e?
They are evidence that the same bone structures can serve different functions in different species.

They are evidence of the fact that bone structure determines the ability to adapt to new environments.

They are evidence that one species turns into another species over time and that each has a different type of life.

They are evidence that all came from a common ancestor and that life changed over time for all these organisms

The correct statement is that they are evidence that all came from a common ancestor and that life changed over time for all these organisms.

Homology involves the theory that macroevolutionary associations can be proven by the similarity in the physiology and anatomy of distinct animals. Since, Darwin, homology has been considered as a prime evidence for evolution.

The extensive similarities of muscles, skeletons, nerves, cell ultrastructure, organs of the body, and biochemistry of distinct animal types have proved that a great deal of similarity prevails in both their function and composition.

By aligning or categorizing the huge sets of anatomical compositions on the basis of the similarity of selected traits, evolutionary naturalists have tried to illustrate the proof for a long, slow line of advancing animal modifications ending in the highest species yet, that is, humans.

<span>The answer is ‘They are evidence that all came from a common ancestor and that life changed over time for all these organisms’. The individuals of the ancestor population probably spread out and became separated b geographical features or behavioral modification. Over time, this caused allopatric or/and sympatric speciation. However, these species still bear homologous structures that show this common ancestry. </span>

I believe the child is demonstrating Animism.
Animism is belief in innumerable spiritual beings concerned with human affairs and capable of helping or harming human interests. It is a belief that all things have a spirit or soul, including animals, plants, rivers, mountains or feared or in some way attended to. Why would bourses and mountain goats have hooves
photoshop1234 [79]
Think of it like this.  Horses do a LOT of galloping, which is hard on the feet!  Hooves are a physical ADAPTATION, so that the horses won't experience pain on their journeys.  They're hard, so that the horses don't feel the ground nearly as much.  Now, mountain goats travel over rough terrain, with sharp rocks and steep inclines.  Again, it's really easy for them to get hurt strutting around the mountains, so they evolved hard hooves to protect their feet.

Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

Chromosome number variation: B. Down syndrome

Loss-of-function allele  : D. PKU

Physiological trait : E. Lactose metabolism

Discovery-based science : A. Human Genome Project

Genetic cross: C. Model organism

Explanation:

Down syndrome is a condition in which there is an extra copy of the chromosome number 21. Hence, it is a chromosome number variation.

Physiological traits refers to any function of a body. Hence, it matches with lactose metabolism.

Human Genome Project was a project under which the whole genome of the humans were sequenced. Hence, it is a discovery based science.

A genetic cross is made between model organisms to test for the offsprings that would be produced from a cross. Hence, genetic cross and model organism math with each other.
