Answer:

A) a-t and c-g.

Explanation:

According to Erwin Chargaff, a biochemist the amounts of the purine and pyrimidine bases (Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine and Guanine) are in equal quantities. This means that the amount of adenine is equal to the amount of thymine, and the amount of cytosine is equal to the amount of guanine. During DNA replication base pairing is specific. Adenine (A) always pairs with thymine (T) and cytosine (C) always pairs with guanine (G).

The answer is A. I don't think you need to know the chemistry of why they go together but I will tell you that uracil is only used in RNA which is why B is wrong. C and D just don't happen.

CELL STRUCTURE AND PROCESSES
Olegator [25]

Answer:

Plant cells have a cell wall, a large central vacuole, and chloroplasts, but a animal cell does not have those things.

Nucleus; contains DNA

Lysosome; breaks down nutrients and wastes

Vacuole; storage

Centrosome; has a role in Mitosis to seperate chromosomes

Chloroplast; photosynthesis

Endoplastic Reticulum; transport nutrients within the cell

Ribosome; protein synthesis

Mitochondria; breaks down glucose into ATP energy

Cell wall; a rigid membrane found in plants and some bacteria

Golgi apparatus; packages proteins made, exocytosis

Cell membrane; a flexible mebrane around eukaryotic cells

Hope this helped

DNA is transcribed to messenger RNA (mRNA), and the mRNA is translated to proteins on the ribosomes. A sequence of three nucleot
Maru [420]

Answer:

start codon - AUG

in-sequence amino acid - AAA, UGC, AUC, CAC, GCA, ACU

stop codon - UAA, UAG, UGA

Explanation:

From the amino acid chart, the start codon is represented by the codon AUG which also code for the amino acid methionine. There are three stop codons including UAA, UAG, and UGA. The stop codons signal the end of the translation process of the mRNA. Every other codon within the mRNA chain codes for different amino acids except methionine.

Hence, using the attached amino acid chart:

start codon - AUG

in-sequence amino acid - AAA, UGC, AUC, CAC, GCA, ACU

stop codon - UAA, UAG, UGA
