Shays’ Rebellion is the name given to a series of protests in 1786 and 1787 by American farmers against state and local enforcement of tax collections and judgments for debt. Although farmers took up arms in states from New Hampshire to South Carolina, the rebellion was most serious in Massachusetts, where bad harvests, economic depression, and high taxes threatened farmers with the loss of their farms. The rebellion took its name from its symbolic leader, Daniel Shays of Massachusetts, a former captain in the Continental army.

After the Stonewall riot: a. prejudice against gay men increased. b. prejudice against lesbians ended. c. a militant gay liberat
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

The correct answer is C  a militant gay liberation movement was born.

Explanation:

In the 60's the were a lot of social movements supporting the LGBT cause and in 1969 the Stonewall riot, that took place in New York City, became a landmark for the gay liberation movement. It fought against police violence, homophobic legal and educational systems and other types of prejudice. The movement born on that day was unified and came from a long process of political effervescing against the status quo in many fronts. Things are still challenging today, but better for the LGBTTQ community than it was back then thanks to the gay liberation movement, that is still present and active.
