Let x = hours to meet

train one has a 2 hour head start or 210 km head start

210 + 105x = 135x
30x = 210
x = 7 hours to meet

Geometry - Will give 5 stars + Thanks!
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

<h2>x = 3 and y = 4</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

We know:

The diagonals in a parallelogram divide by halves.

Therefore KG = UG and DG = CG.

We have

KG = 5y - 8, UG = 3y, DG = 4x - 7, CG = x + 2

Substitute:

5y - 8 = 3y          <em>add 8 to both sides</em>

5y = 3y + 8      <em>subtract 3y from both sides</em>

2y = 8      <em>divide both sides by 2</em>

y = 4

---------------

4x - 7 = x + 2           <em>add 7 to both sides</em>

4x = x + 9            <em>subtract x from both sides</em>

3x = 9     <em>divide both sides by 3</em>

x = 3

A playground is constructed with the dimensions and shapes shown below
Alchen [17]

check the picture below.

so the playground is really just 3 rectangles and one triangle, now the triangle has a base of 8 and a height of 6.  We can simply get the area of each figure, sum them up and that's the area of the playground.

\bf \stackrel{\textit{area of the triangle}}{\cfrac{1}{2}(8)(6)}~~+~~\stackrel{\textit{rectangle}}{(8\cdot 8)}~~+~~\stackrel{\textit{rectangle}}{(6\cdot 6)}~~+~~\stackrel{\textit{rectangle}}{(9\cdot 4)}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;24+64+36+36\implies 160

Which is equivalent to the complex number i^32?
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

where i^2 = -1 (minus one)

So, i^2 = -1

i^4 = (i^2)^2 = (-1)^2 = -1 X-1 = 1

like ;

i^32 = (i^2)^16 = (-1)^16 =  -1 X -1 X-1 X -1 X-1 X -1 X-1 X -1 X-1 X -1 X-1 X -1 X-1 X -1 X-1 X -1 X

     = 1

What is the value of y?<br> 54"<br> A. 126°<br> B. 730<br> C. 63°<br> D. 540
Studentka2010 [4]

Answer: 63 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

Therefore: 54 + y + y = 180

So 54 + 2y = 180

So 2y = 126

Therefore y = 63 degrees.
