The main difference between deserts and steppes is the annual rainfall that occurs in both biomes. A biome refers to regions where plants and animals of same and varying features alongside characteristics, exist. Deserts and steppes are examples of biomes

Further Explanation

Deserts are known to be barren lands or desolate terrains or abandoned places where little or no grass is seen on. Deserts have few rainfall compared to steppes. Due to the limited amount of rain on deserts, plants in the desert typically find it hard to survive.

In some cases, few plants like Cacti, shrubs, succulents and grasses still manage to grow despite the harsh conditions in the deserts, and this is mainly as a result of water storage in the leaves, stems, and also coverings on the leaves with prevent water loss. Deserts are located in Africa, Asia, North and South America, and Europe.

Steppes are typical grasslands found almost on all places across the earth. And it has more rainfall than deserts. Typically, grasslands are dominated by grasses, and growth of the grasses is aided by seasonal rainfall, which essentially helps humans and other living things.

In terms of economical reasons, grasslands improve the standard of living of humans, and different plants and crops are planted on it and the annual rainfall on grassland regions further boost the plant growth process and are ready for consumption at a specific period of time.

Steppes can be found in Eastern Europe, Asia, North and South America. Steppes are grouped into two forms:

 • subtropical steppe
 • temperate Steppe

Amino acids differ from one another by the ________________ that is present
olasank [31]

Answer:

C. R group

Explanation:

Amino acids are the monomers for proteins. Various amino acids are joined together by peptide bonds to form polypeptides.

All standard amino acids have a central chiral carbon atom to which four functional grouped are bonded. All the amino acids have one carboxyl group, one amino group and one hydrogen atom bonded to the central carbon atom.

However, the chemical nature of the "R group" differentiates various amino acids. For example, alanine has a "CH3" group as an R group while glycine has one more hydrogen atom as its R group.

Which is mixed with proteins to break them into amino acids? villi enzymes saliva fat
postnew [5]

Answer:enzymes

Explanation:during digestion, food is broken down by chewing in the mouth.enzymes also acts on foods to reduce them into simpler constituents.enzymes acts on food in the mouth, stomach, intestine etc.

Enzymes that acts on proteins helps to break the peptides bonds present in proteins.they break up the polypeptide chains into amino acids .An example is trypsin .the conditions necessary for these enzymes to acts may be specific.some require acidic environment while others require basic environment.pepsin for example requires stomach hydrochloric acid to be converted from it's inactive form, pepsinogen.

The resultant Amino acids are then absorbed in the small intestine
