One thing that Hamlet says is that<em> "his mother, gertrude,is a villain that smiles and fakes happiness to others to appear innocent".</em>

This reveals that, despite the orders given to him by the ghost  (of his father), his emotions will play a part in his plot of revenge. This is because, when the ghost orders to him to take action on Claudius only and to leave his mother, he swore to gods that he would fix his entire attention on nothing but his command until his final wish is fulfilled.
