The answer is C. The anti-federalist wanted to ensure the Bill of Rights was included in the Constitution.

EXPLANATION

The anti-federalism was the opposition to the new form and frame of the government. The anti-federalism is known for its revolutionary figures such as Samuel Adams, Richard Henry Lee, Patrick Henry, and etc.

One of the revolutionary figures is Elbridge Gerry, who wrote the most well-known anti-federalist tract at that time, titled “Hon. Mr. Gerry’s Objections”. The tract was being printed 46 times, and the writing focused on the lack of a bill of rights in the proposed constitution. The anti-federalism wanted to ensure the Bill of Rights was included in the constitution.

The anti-federalism was worried that the strong national government will threaten people’s rights and the president will eventually become a king. There is one line "Half a loaf is better than no bread. If we cannot secure all our rights, let us secure what we can”,

that’s famous from the anti-federalism.

The Bill of Rights of the US consists of ten amendments to the United States Constitution. This happened because of the objection from the anti-federalists. The Bill of Rights amendments adds to the constitution, for the guarantee that people will still have personal rights and clear limitation of the government’s power against the citizen.

Maslowich

D. Your new-caught, sullen peoples, / Half-devil and half-child.

Explanation:

  • Poem was written in 1899, at a time when Philippines  were fighting for independence from the United States of America.
  • Kipling clearly liked the idea of enslaving the people of one Asian country on the other side of the world. The White Man's Burden was written with the sole intention of persuading Americans not to give freedom to the Philippines.
  • Poem is, by modern standards, extremely offensive. The author calls the population of another race your new-caught, sullen peoples / Half-devil and half-child.
  • He criticizes them for not accepting white people as better than themselves and those who brought them to the light of day by colonization.
