"Transcendentalism" was a movement that developed between the 1820s and the 1830s in the U.S. This movement derivated from other movements such as the Romanticism and the transcendental proposal of Khan. Additionally, the transcendentalism mainly deals with the individual vs. the society and stated individuals are inherently good but if they are not self-reliant they can be corrupted by society and social institutions. Besides this, the individual played an important role in Transcendentalism because in this philosophical movement the subjective intuition prevails over the objective perspective. considering this, it can be concluded the Transcendentalism movement and therefore Transcendentalists were most concerned with the individual.
