Homes may be heated by pumping hot water through radiators. What mass of water will provide the same amount of heat when cooled
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

mass of water is 7.43 g

Explanation:

q = mc∆T

qsteam = 100 g × 1.864 J/(g °C) × (110 – 100) °C = 1864 J

qwater = mwater× 4.184 J/(g °C) × (95 – 35) °C = mwater× 251.04 J/g = qsteam = 1864 J

mwater = 1864 J / 251.04 J/g = 7.43 g

A 10g mass of krypton occupies 15.0 l at avpressure of 210 kpa. find the volume
bagirrra123 [75]
From Boyle's law, we can use the equation
     P1V1 = P2V2
to find the volume when the pressure is increased to 760 kPa:
     V2 = P1V1 / P2
     V2 = (210 kPa)(15.0 L) / 760 kPa
     V2 = 4.14 Liters
Therefore, the volume is 3.99 Liters after the pressure increased to 760 kPa.

But if the pressure is increased to 790 kPa, the volume of the krypton will decrease to
     V2 = P1V1 / P2
     V2 = (210 kPa)(15.0 L) / 790 kPa
     V2 = 3.99 Liters

The diagram shows the displayed formula of a substance. Is this an element, a compound or a mixture?
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

A compound

Explanation:

  • The diagram above shows a compound.
  • An element is a pure substance that contains similar types of atoms and can not be broken down into simpler units using chemical means.
  • A compound is made up of two or more elements that are chemically combined. It contains atoms of different elements and its properties are different from those of individual elements.
  • For example, the above figure shows a compound made up of hydrogen atoms, carbon atoms, and an oxygen atom.
  • A mixture, on the other hand, is a substance that contains two or more components that are physically combined.
