To find the perimeter you would add all the sides of the triangle together.  Represent the length of each side using the information given.

1 side =  x
2 side = x
3 side = 2x - 2

Add these together and combine the like terms.

x + x + 2x -2; the bold parts are the like terms

4x - 2 represents the perimeter.

Let f(x) be a polynomial function such that f(−4)=−5,f′(−4)=0 and f′′(−4)=1. classify the point (−4,−5).
svet-max [94.6K]
THis will be  the coordinates of the point  at a turning point on the graph.

Since the second derivative  is positive (=1)  it will be a minimum value of f(x).

Find the area of the triangle
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

Part 1)  P=204\ yd

Part 2) A=1,325\ yd^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1)

we know that

The perimeter of triangle is equal to the sum of its length sides

so

P=54+97+53=204\ yd

Part 2)

we know that

The area of triangle is given by the formula

A=\frac{1}{2}(b)(h)

we have

b=53\ yd\\h=50\ yd

substitute

A=\frac{1}{2}(53)(50)=1,325\ yd^2
