Answer: Juliet does not intend to follow through with the wedding.

Dramatic irony occurs when the audience knows something that is unknown to the characters of the story. In this case, Juliet is telling her mother that she is getting ready for the wedding, and Lady Capulet believes her. However, the audience knows that Juliet continues to be in love with Romeo, and that she has no intention to follow through with the wedding.
