Answer:

(LONG RESPONSE!)

In this work, several simulations and analyses are carried out to investigate the feasibility of generating electricity from underwater sea currents at Istanbul Bosphorus Strait. Bosphorus is a natural canal which forms a border between Europe and Asia by connecting Black Sea and Marmara Sea. The differences in elevation and salinity ratios between these two seas cause strong marine currents. Depending on the morphology of the canal the speed of the flow varies and at some specific locations the energy intensity reaches to sufficient levels where electricity generation by marine current turbines becomes economically feasible.

In this study, several simulations are performed for a 10 MW marine turbine farm/cluster whose location is selected by taking into account several factors such as the canal morphology, current speed and passage of vessels. 360 different simulations are performed for 15 different virtual sea states. Similarly, 8 different configurations are analyzed in order to find the optimum spacing between the turbines. Considering the spatial variations in the current speed within the selected region, the analyses are performed for three different flow speeds corresponding to ±10% change in the average value. For each simulation the annual energy yield and cluster efficiency are calculated.

Succession Interactive!
JulijaS [17]

Answer: All of these are true (besides the one that says that none are true...).

Explanation:

The ecological succession is a slow change in the living community of the ecosystem along with the changes occurring in the non-living environment until the ecosystem attains stability.

The primary succession can be defined as the initial level of succession. This succession begins in the primitive environment. The soil develops after the weathering process of rocks.

The secondary succession begins in the region where life forms existed before and the area begin damaged by the catostrophic event like forest fire, earthquake and other type of calamities. Some remaining plant parts can give birth to the entire colony of plants.

The ground tissue of roots is composed of what types of cells?
kati45 [8]
The sclerenchyma is the tissue in which creates the plant firm and hard. The two kinds of sclerenchyma cells exist fibers and sclereids. Their cell walls be made up of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. The sclerenchyma cells are the principal associate cells in plant tissues that have come to a close elongation.

Indicate at which step of the replication-transcription-translation process each type of RNA first plays a role. During which st
kolezko [41]

Answer:

Replication: DNA into DNA, and RNA primer are required;

Transcription/RNA processing: pre mRNA and then mRNA;

Translation: tRNA, rRNA

Explanation:

1. During replication, a semi-conservative copy of a DNA molecule is made with the help of various enzymes and RNA primer.

2. Transcription/RNA processing: mRNA

During transcription, the DNA "message" ( in the form of codon) is copied into mRNA.

3. Translation: tRNA, rRNA

During translation, the information carried in the mRNA is translated into protein with the help of molecules of tRNA and rRAN to build a protein on the ribosomes.
