What changes occurred for minorities in the early 1900s?
MatroZZZ [7]

In 1933 the general unemployment rate in the United States was over 25 percent; and at the same time, unemployment rates for various American minorities ranged up to 50 percent or more. It existed a huge racial discrimination in almost every facet of daily life in America through the 1920s, it was hard for many minorities to distinguish much difference between the Great Depression and "normal" economic times. Nonetheless, for these groups the Great Depression was worse than "normal" economic hardships they had suffered. Something to highlight is that during this time it was really difficult to live, even for the white Americans and for the minorities was worse.

ASAP - What is Roosevelt's Big Stick Diplomacy?
hammer [34]

Answer:

The idea is negotiating peacefully but also having strength in case things go wrong.

Roosevelt described his style of foreign policy as "the exercise of intelligent forethought and of decisive action sufficiently far in advance of any likely crisis." As practiced by Roosevelt, big stick diplomacy had five components. First it was essential to possess serious military capability that would force the adversary to pay close attention. At the time that meant a world-class navy. Roosevelt never had a large army at his disposal. The other qualities were to act justly toward other nations, never to bluff, to strike only when prepared to strike hard, and the willingness to allow the adversary to save face in defeat.
