Romania used to be a communist nation prior to the disolution of the USSR in 1991, that provoqued its economy to decline due to the lack of business and companies that offered jobs or that could survive the heavily regulations that the government used to set. After that entrepeneurs that never had the chance to start their own business were thrieving with the opportunity to work and fulfill their dreams, the injected a lot of jobs into the economy and helped the country.
The open door policy was received with almost universal approval in the united states and for more than 40 years it was a cornerstone of america foreign policy in east Asia.
