The first and third graphs inverse will still be functions  (although the first is iffy as it is hard to tell if when any x values are equal, if there are equal x values it will not be a function because then there will be multiple y values for a single x value.  In simpler terms, if there is a truly horizontal line in that first graph, its inverse will not be a function as it will fail the vertical line test.)

The second graph will not be a function as each x value will have two y values, so it fails "the vertical line test".

Greatest common factor of 66 and 32
scoundrel [369]

Hey there,

The Greatest Common Factor or the GCF of 66 and 32 would be 2.

Both of the numbers go into 2 and that is the highest common factor the two share.

Hope I helped,

Quadratic inverse for y=x^2-1
stepan [7]

let's recall that to find the inverse of any expression, we start off by doing a quick switcheroo on the variables, and then solve for "y".

\bf y = x^2-1\implies \stackrel{switcheroo}{x=y^2-1}\implies x+1=y^2\implies \sqrt{x+1}=\stackrel{f^{-1}(x)}{y}

john ran at a pace of 3.5 miles per hour for a distance of 10.5 miles. how many minutes did it take him to run 10.5 miles? use t
Rainbow [258]

The minutes it takes him to run 10.5 miles is 180 minutes

<h3>How many minutes did it take him to run 10.5 miles?</h3>

The given parameters are

Speed = 3.5 miles per hour

Distance = 10.5 miles

The time is calculated as:

Time = Distance/Speed

So, we have

Time = 10.5 miles/3.5 miles per hour

Evaluate the quotient

Time = 3 hours

Convert to minutes

Time  = 180 minutes

Hence, the minutes it takes him to run 10.5 miles is 180 minutes

PLEASE HELP AND GIVE AN EXPLANATION A rectangular prism has a volume of 170 cm the length of the prism is 5 cm in the height of
IgorC [24]

Answer:

The width of the prism is 2 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The given parameters are;

The volume of the prism = 170 cm³

The length of the prism = 5 cm

The height of the prism = 17 cm

The volume of the prism is given by the  relationship v = Length, l × Height, h × Width, w

Therefore;

The volume of the prism = 5 cm × 17 cm × w = 170 cm³

Which gives;

w = 170 cm³/(5 cm × 17 cm) = 170 cm³/(85 cm) = 2 cm

∴ The width of the prism = 2 cm.

What isthe answer to 3/5 ❌ 20
finlep [7]
3/5 × 20/1 = 12 because 3×20 is 60 and 5×1 is 5 so 60/5 and that simplifies to 12
