Alright, lets get started.

The given expression is : 2x^{2} -10 x - 48

Firstly, we could take 2 as common factor out

2 (x^{2}- 5x - 24)

-5x could be written as -8x + 3x

2 (x^{2}- 8x + 3x - 24)

Now, taking x common factor out in first two terms and 3 common factor in last two terms

2 (x(x- 8) + 3(x - 8))

2 (x-8)(x+3)

or

2 (x+3)(x-8)

Answer is option d.

Hope it will help :)

The average age in a sample of 190 students at City College is 22. As a result of this sample, it can be concluded that the aver
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

The true mean \mu it probably could be larger, smaller, or equal to 22

Step-by-step explanation:

False.

By definition the sample mean is defined as:

\bar X = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n X_i}{n}

For this case the value for the sample size is n =190 and the calculated sample mean is \bar X=22. This value represent the sample and for this case we can't assume that this value represent at all the population as the population mean \mu since we probably have variability from the data of the students at City College.

So we can conclude that the true mean \mu it probably could be larger, smaller, or equal to 22

QUESTION 31

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+5=2x-1

Subtract 5 from both sides

3x+5-5=2x-1-5

Simplify

3x=2x-6

Subtract 2x from both sides

3x-2x=2x-6-2x

QUESTION 32

1/3(6x+12) = 1/2(4x-8) + 8

1/2(4x-8) = 4x-8/2 +8

1/3(6x+12) = 4x-8/2 +8

2(6x+12) = 12(x-2) + 48

12x+24

12x+24 = 12x+24

12x+24 - 24 = 12x+24 - 24

12x=12x

0=0

Ttriangle def is a dilation of triangle abc with scale factor 2. In triangle abc the largest angle measures 82 degree what is th
dybincka [34]

We have been given that triangle def is a dilation of triangle abc with scale factor 2. In triangle abc the largest angle measures 82 degree and we are asked to find largest angle measure of triangle def.

Since we know that dilation stretches or shrinks the original figure. Dilation does not change or affect angle measure.

Upon dilating our triangle abc by a scale factor of 2 sides of triangle will increase but angles will remain same.

Therefore, largest angle measure of triangle def will be 82 degrees as well.
