No 4/6 is closer to 1 than 1/8. Think of it this way if you had 1 out of 8 slices of pizza there is still a 7 slices left but if you had 4 slices out of 6 there is only 2 left... In other words 4/6 is closer to 6/6 which equals a whole aka 1 than 1/8 which is further from equaling a whole.
