Answer:

C. Plagiarizing is not a step used to refine a thesis statement.

Explanation:

<u>Plagiarizing</u> refers to reproducing or using someone else's words, ideas or work as one's one or without attribution. In literature, this phenomena refers to the appropriation of ideas or passages from another author.

Therefore, unlike <em>asking</em>, <em>questioning </em>or <em>investigating</em>, C. plagiarizing is not a step used to refine a thesis statement.

Collective farmers must drive off all their cattle and turn
PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:

C. It is worth the loss of property to ensure that Germany finds  nothing useful to it.

Explanation:

The given passage is taken from the "scorched earth" policy established by Joseph Stalin after the German troops invaded the USSR in 1941. The radio broadcast gave an order to the people on how to act when evading or leaving their homes.

In this broadcast, Stalin orders the destruction of <em>"All valuable property including non-ferrous metals, grain, and fuel which cannot be withdrawn"</em> so that it will not fall on the hands of the Germans. He also advised the farmers to<em> "drive off their cattle and turn over their grain to the safekeeping of the State authorities"</em>, so that if and when the Germans reach that place, they will not be used by them. The order seems to state that losing a property is better than providing any useful thing for the Germans.

Thus, the correct answer is option C.

Sonnet 4<br> by Edmund Spenser main idea
satela [25.4K]
The main idea of this poem is welcoming the new year and spring as an opportunity for a fresh start and new love. The closing lines sum up the main idea well:
"Then you faire flowre, in whome fresh youth doth raine,
<span>     prepare your selfe new love to entertaine."

The 'fair flower' he is referring to is a woman, and he is telling her to get ready ('prepare your selfe') to entertain (discover) new love!</span>

Your friend says scientific theories cannot be believed because they are always changing. Wwhat can you say to counter the argum
Ray Of Light [21]

Answer:

scientific theories are mostly approved after they have been researched fully and can be backed up with evidence.

Explanation:It is less unlikely that the theory will change except that it can be improved when the new evidence is discovered due to the fact that they are based on discovered evidence.

Theory of gravity for example there is a proven evidence that there is a pulling force knows as the force of gravity that keeps us from floating on earth whereas in space the lack of that force causes one to float this is backed up by evidence that are visible and can be tested all over again.

Answer: drama is different from a short story in that a short story is usually a couple pages at maximum. They tell the entire take in that duration with all components very compact. A drama any length and usually consists of some sort of tragedy as it is a genre. A short story could be happy, horrific, etc. they are both c9nsidered literary texts as they both will still have all of the story elements, just in different ways.
