Answer:

A. Chipmunks sleeping underground through the winter

Explanation:

A seasonal change in the behavior of a living organism is a change that occurs every year at a particular time. The reasons for the occurrence of such changes are so that the organism has advantage in survival in the environment. In this case we have the chipmunk that sleeps underground through the winter. We have an animal which exhibit a seasonal change every year, during the winter period. The reason for this is that the chipmunks have very quick metabolism, so if they are active during the winter they will starve because of lack of food. Instead, the chipmunks have evolved to hibernate during the winter, thus slowing down the work of their hurt during the winter and sleep, until the spring comes.

Write a paragraph about why stem cells are a bad thing.PLZ NO PLADURISM
sdas [7]
Stem cells are very controversial for several reasons. Mainly, because stem cells need to be harvested from Embryos, which raises a huge ethical debate as to weather the (scientifically speaking, alive) embryo harvesting is not cruel and twisted, as these are human beings that are being used. Another ethical issue is that it is related to human cloning, and often times stem cells are mislabeled. Not to mention that there is an argument for the idea of cloning humans to be used for limb replacement, throwing everybody in a tizzy. Overall, one of the greatest medical acheivements of recent years has lots of issues that haunt it.

The rate of firing of the postsynaptic neuron depends on the amount of ______ input it receives from the presynaptic neuron.
DIA [1.3K]

The correct answer is d. both excitation and inhibition.

There is a process which is called summation and it refers to the process that determines whether or not an action potential (on postsynaptic neuron) will be generated by the combined effects of excitatory and inhibitory signals (from the presynaptic neurons). Depending on the sum total of inputs, summation may or may not reach the threshold voltage to trigger an action potential (firing of postsynaptic potential).
