Japan is located between east Korea and China and is an archipelago-which is a chain of islands-that streams north to south of Pacific Ocean. In the chain of islands there are four major ones which are Honshu, Hokkaido,Shikoku, and Kyushu. The Japan's terrain is mostly mountains, and forest so not enough space to truly farm. In addition ,japan experiences a number of earthquakes because of the position on the islands ,continental plates meet where japan is located this is the explanation of why earthquakes and volcanoes emerge. The civilization in the early years had to turn their lives to the sea because the mountainous regions weren't farm lands .So the Japanese built villages near the ocean and learned how to fish and traveled by ships. This down side to being by the ocean was the civilization was isolated from the rest of Asia ,but let the Japanese civilization alleviate .

Briefly describe martin luther's background. how did his experiences make him the perfect candidate to lead the reformation of t
bezimeni [28]
Martin Luther was raised in the church with a solid education in the church's teachings and in the art of scholarly debate.  He spent time living as a monk, knowing the Catholic Church's spiritual path from that perspective.  As a monk, he had traveled to Rome and seen the corruption that was evident there, which shocked him.  He had studied deeply to become a Doctor of Theology and taught theology at the University of Wittenberg.  He had the training and stature to contend with the powerful leaders within the Catholic Church, because his own scholarship and skill were second to none.  And he personally had experienced the overwhelming sense of guilt that the scholastic theology of the church had imposed on him, in contrast to the message of grace in Christ that he found when studying the Bible itself.

How was the Marshall Plan designed to restore Europe in ways that discouraged the advance of Communism in Eastern Europe?
andrew-mc [135]
The Marshall Plan is a policy carried out by US which directly send loans to Western European nations. The western european countries suffered much loss after wwii, such as having their infrastructures destroyed, and there were a lack of labour due to death and injures. The nations were left vulnerable, which might then fall into the control of USSR. Lest the European nations falling into the control of communism, the capital provided in the Marshall Plan was provided to help the European Nations to restore the economy, which could make them more resistance towards USSR. In the Marshall Plan, nations that recieved aids were requested to increase trade with US with open market, this promoted their own ideology, capitalism and discouraged the advance of Communism.

hope it helps! :)
