Answer:

She lost $15 on her 50 dollar credit card.

Step-by-step explanation:

Kendra received a gift card in the mail from her grandparents. The gift card was worth $50.

Kendra forgot all about the gift card, and the card loses $5 every month after its date of purchase if it has not been used.

Kendra loses $5 each month,

She forget the card for 3 months.

So, Multiply the $5 by 3 months

$5×3=$15

Hence, she lost $15.

How many school buses will fit a thousand people if the school bus seats 72
sdas [7]
For problems like these, we use something called a ceiling function, in which \lceil{x}\rceil = \text{the smallest integer that is greater than or equal to x}. If we do \lceil1000 / 72\rceil, we get that we do \lceil13.888...\rceil, which is 14 buses. We take the ceiling of the division because if we don't, we know that there are going to be extra kids left over that won't be able to seat on a bus. If we just rounded down to 13 buses, we would have been able to seat only 936 kids, a full 64 kids left over.

How do I write 575 as a mixed number
Nookie1986 [14]

A mixed number is a whole number plus a fraction.

575 is just a whole number, without a fraction.  If you absolutely must have
a mixed number, then you have to create a fraction out of 575 somehow.

This is going to look pretty silly, but I guess you could take ' 1 ' away from 575,
and use it to make a fraction, like  1/1 .

Then your mixed number could be   574 and 1/1 .

Isn't that ridiculous ? ! ?

Shkiper50 [21]
Lets t = # pieces of toast
e = # of eggs

2e + t = 3
  e + t = 1.8
----------------subtract
  e = 1.2
  t = 1.8  - e
  t = 1.8 - 1.2
  t = 0.6

answer
<span>Kendra charges $1.2 per egg and 60 cents per toast</span>
