Answer:
There is a lot of stigma around depression and I am pleased to help clarify this legitimate and manageable illness. Depression is the result of a chemical imbalance that can affect anyone at any age, causing such severe despondency that those afflicted, and without treatment, often struggle to maintain healthy personal and professional lives. I have been familiar with this sort of disposition from a very young age; evidently i was discovered with depression at age 12 . Though being depressed at age 12 is different than at age 19, it was no less authentic. Certainly my depression has evolved as my world has expanded. Depression has been a long journey for me. Often it has been a burden and a barrier but it has also played a part in the most enlightening periods of my life.
The term cyber bullying is a term referred to someone bullying via the internet, social media or anything that involves technology. Typically, the pre-teens to late adolescent's are the most susceptible to being the victim of cyber bullying. There are so many effects that cyber bullying can have on a victim. Two effects is an increase of anxiety and helplessness. This can happen because when cyber bullying is involved, the victim feels they cannot get away from the bullying simply because it's both via social media or some sort of technology and typically, it's also in public/school. They feel there's nothing they can do to make it stop.
If you notice cyber bullying, or bullying in general PLEASE get a trusted adult. Even if you don't really know, GET SOMEONE INVOLVED! Most people will try to hide within their thoughts and may not show any outward signs of depression or suicidal ideations. Speaking up can help save someone's life.
