<u>Answer</u>:

According to the predictions of the second law of thermodynamics "heat is released in the process".

<u>Explanation</u>:

The "second law  of thermodynamics states that total entropy of the isolated system can never be decreased over but is constant if all processes are reversible". Similarly in photosynthesis not all the energy are taken by the plants, some reflected and some are lost as well. However, the loss of energy to the surrounding results in increase of entropy. The energy used in the photosynthesis is the light. The source of this light is sunlight.

During the process of photosynthesis, cells use carbon dioxide and energy from the Sun to make sugar molecules and oxygen.

Then Respiration processes, cells use oxygen and glucose to synthesize energy-rich carrier molecules, such as ATP, and carbon dioxide is produced as a waste product.

A spheroidal bacterium with a diameter of 1 mm contains 2 molecules of a particular protein. What is the molar concentration?
creativ13 [48]

Answer : The molar concentration is, 6.35\times 10^{-18}mol/L

Explanation :

First we have to calculate the moles of protein.

\text{Moles of protein}=\frac{\text{Number of molecules of protein}}{\text{Avogadro's number}}

Number of molecules of protein = 2 molecules

Avogadro's number =  6.022\times 10^{23}molecules/mol

\text{Moles of protein}=\frac{2\text{ molecules}}{6.022\times 10^{23}molecules/mol}=3.32\times 10^{-24}mol

Now we have to calculate the radius.

Radius = \frac{Diameter}{2}=\frac{1mm}{2}=0.5mm=5.0\times 10^{-4}m

Conversion used : (1 mm = 0.001 m)

Now we have to calculate the volume.

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

V=\frac{4}{3}\times 3.14\times (5.0\times 10^{-4}m)^3

V=5.23\times 10^{-10}m^3=5.23\times 10^{-7}L

Conversion used : (1 m³ = 1000 L)

Now we have to calculate the molar concentration.

Concentration=\frac{\text{Moles of protein}}{\text{Volume}}

Concentration=\frac{3.32\times 10^{-24}mol}{5.23\times 10^{-7}L}

Concentration=6.35\times 10^{-18}mol/L

Thus, the molar concentration is, 6.35\times 10^{-18}mol/L

In the ABO series, the gene for blood type O is , while A and B are genes, and AB is .
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

Gene for blood type O is recessive

Gene for blood type A and B is dominant

Gene for blood type AB is neither dominant nor recessive but a form of co-dominance

Explanation:

In the ABO blood group,

A and B are dominant genes, O is recessive genes.

So the different genotype and its corresponding phenotype is as follows –

Genotype    Phenotype

AO     A

BO     B

AB     AB

AA     A

BB     B

OO     O

Hence, the two alleles AB occur and express together. Therefore, AB blood group is an example of co-dominance.

Blood type also varies with the presence of Rh factor. If Rh factor is present, the blood type will represented with a “+” symbol. And if Rh factor is absent, the blood type will be represented by “-“symbol.
