OKay, so the let’s go over the first option...

An epic hero must have at least one parent that is a god.

This statement is very false. Of course, it COULD be a quality of an epic hero, but it’s NOT a required quality.

Next option.

An epic hero must have no human frailties and flaws.

This option is also incorrect. There are many heros, real or fiction, that have many so-called "human frailties" or "human flaws." Even the epic hero's you read about in books or comics or see in movies have flaws. No matter what no one is perfect.

Next option.

An epic hero must be more courageous than the typical man.

This, however, is true. To be an epic hero, it is required to be more courageous than the average man. If they are not more courageous than the average man then they are not an epic hero. They’re probably just a hero or maybe even a man if they’re not more courageous.

( We’ll ignore the last option since we have clearly found the correct answer. )

This means that the answer is c ) An epic hero must be more courageous than the typical man.

Read the excerpt from Act II of Hamlet.
kkurt [141]

Answer:

B, but read the full explanation carefully. If you have an idea of your own, pick it.

Explanation:

It's none of these. Later on we learn that they are talking about fortune and luck. Hamlet makes a very nasty comment about the nature of luck whom he sees as a changeable woman who takes money for her favors (his words not mine). Rosenkranz and Guildenstern are in the middle which leads Hamlet to make another off color observation.

Given that background, you could almost pick any one of the choices, since none of them are correct. I suppose if you take Guildenstern's initial couplet you could pick prosperity, but I wouldn't be surprised if the writer of this question didn't pick it. The quotation is taken out of context.

Whatever they are talking about is neither the top or the bottom. It is therefore in the middle. But before this speech, we learn that the two students are not doing well. Hamlet is trying to joke with them.
