Answer:

vertex (  \frac{1}{7}, \frac{131}{7}).

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The equation of a parabola is given.

       y=−14x²+4x−19

To find  : What are the coordinates of the vertex of the parabola.

Solution : We have given that

y = −14x²+4x−19

we will be "completing the square" .

Factor out -14 to make leading coefficient 1

y = -14 (x^{2} -\frac{2x}{7} +\frac{19}{14})

Add and subtract (\frac{-1}{7}) ^{2}

y = -14 (x^{2} -\frac{2x}{7} +\frac{19}{14}+\frac{-1}{7}) ^{2} - (\frac{-1}{7})^{2}) .

Complete the square

y = -14 ( (x -\frac{1}{7}) ^{2} +\frac{19}{14}- (\frac{-1}{7})^{2}).

y = -14 ( (x-\frac{1}{7}) ^{2} -\frac{131}{7}

Standard form of parabola vertex form y  = a(x - h)²+ k,

Where, ( h, k)  are vertex

On comparing a = -14 , h= \frac{1}{7}, k =  \frac{131}{7}

Therefore, vertex (  \frac{1}{7}, \frac{131}{7}).

D. The teachers may differ in number of years teaching reading.

<h3>How to explain the information?</h3>

It should be noted that the information given about the teachers is limited to the fact that they teach preschool. It should be noted that if a teacher has more experience teaching, they are probably better at teaching.

Although both teachers teach preschool, one may have many more years of experience or other qualifications.

A bookstore buys Algebra 1 books at a wholesale price of $23 each. It marks up the price by 92% and then sells the Algebra 1 boo
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

The mark up is $21.16 and the final selling price is $44.14

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the mark up price, you simply multiply the cost by the mark up percentage. This will give you the mark up.

$23 * 92% = $21.16

Now to find the total selling price, we add the cost and the mark up together.

$23 + $21.16 = $44.16
