First find ∠A: ∠A = 180°-(105°+20°) = 180°-125° = 55°
Make sure you know the Law of Sin (or Sin Law):
15/sin 55° = AB/sin 20°, then 15 / 0.81915 = AB/0.342
AB(0.81915) = 15(0.342)
AB(0.81915) = 5.13
AB = 5.13 : 0.81915 (ratio)
AB = 6.26 = 6.3 miles
Therefore, the distance between location A and location B is 6.3 miles.

What is the equation of the line that passes through the point(-5,-4) and has a slope of -3/5?
Elodia [21]

Answer:

y= mx+c

-4= -3/5(-5) + c

-4= -3/5 *-5+ c

-4=3+c

-4-3=c

-7=c

therefore the equation of the line is y=-3/5x-7

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation of a line is

y=mx +c

where y is the y coordinate

where m is the slope

where x is the x coordinate

where c is the y- intercept

Angle DME and BMQ are equal cause they are opposite angles so you could equate the two to get the value of x. BME is a straight line so after finding the value of the angle BMQ you could do 180-(x+12) = 6y-x-12.

How many solutions does the system have?
-87 + 2y = 8
- 40 +y=4

Answer is : No solution

A system of two equations can be classified as follows:

If the slopes are the same but the y-intercepts are different, the system has no solution.

If the slopes are different, the system has one solution.

If the slopes are the same and the y-intercepts are the same, the system has infinitely many solutions.

Definition Linear Equation in One Variable
A linear equation in one variable is an equation that can be written in the form ax+b=c, where a, b, and c are real numbers and .
Linear equations are also first-degree equations because the exponent on the variable is understood to be 1.
Objective 3: Identify Equations That Are Contradictions and Those That Are Identities
A conditional equation is an equation that is true for some values of the variable but not for others. Every linear equation that is a conditional equation has one solution. However, not every linear equation in one variable has a single solution. There are two other cases: no solution and the solution set of all real numbers.
Consider the equation x  x 1. No matter what value is substituted for x, the resulting value on the right side will always be one greater than the value on the left side. Therefore, the equation can never be true. We call such an equation a contradiction. It has no solution. Its solution set is the empty or null set, denoted by { }
or , respectively.
Now consider the equation xx2x. The expression on the left side of the equation simplifies to the expression on the right side. No matter what value we substitute for x, the resulting values on both the left and right sides will always be the same. Therefore, the equation is always true. We call such an equation an identity. It

Justin drinks 1 litter of water.He drank 2,000 litters at his game.How many during his game and his practice?Explain.
djverab [1.8K]

The question is incomplete. The complete question is :

Justin drinks 1 litter of water during the soccer practice. He drank 2,000 milliliters of water at his game. How many liters of water did he drink during his game and his practice? Explain.

Solution :

It is given that :

During practice, Justine drank = 1 liter of water

During game, Justine drank = 2000 milliliters of water

We know that,

1 liter = 1000 mL

Therefore, during the game, Justine drank :

1000 mL = 1 liter

∴ 2000 mL = 2 liter

So Justine drank 2 liters of water during his soccer game and 1 liter of water during his practice.
