In American society, romantic love is considered the main reason for people to marry. On the other hand, in some societies, roma

ntic love is considered a form of obsession or madness. In fact, even in many societies where "true love" is not considered a form of insanity, arranged marriages are still the norm. For example, in many cultures it's believed that marriage is basically an economic arrangement. Thus, a farmer needs a wife both to bear children and to share the farm work while raising new "hands" as additional farm labor. In other societies, marriage is mainly about cementing connections between families. Indeed, most marriages between members of European royal or aristocratic lineages were primarily aimed at creating trust, loyalty, and mutual obligations between privileged and powerful families.
A. On the other hand
B. For example

The question is referring to a contrast so the proper phrase would be "on the other hand". This phrase means something along the lines of "looking at the other side" which refers to the other situation or event. In fact means giving a true exampleIn other societies means examples of ideas from other placesFor example is just giving an exampleHope this helped :)

Given only to those who finish the challenging course, the t-shirt is a big reason why so many of the 55,000 run the race. What
belka [17]
The t-shirt that they give only to people who finish is a big reason that so many people take up the challenging race.

This paraphrase presents the same information as in the sentence, but since it should be a bit more of a summary, it takes out the specific detail of how many people actually run the race, which can just be paraphrased into 'so many'.

The public school system.
Hatshy [7]
I think the answer is C.
Given that the academic classes are mandatory, the students probably don’t like those classes. Why is that important? If they don’t like it, they probably don’t want it as a career choice. By giving them a well rounded education, it would give them more paths for them to decide on a career later in life. By taking away non-essential classes, you take away that ability.

hope this helps!!
