Most likely not.

The reason behind this is that the random participants only include just under 10% of the population. This has the ability to oversee minority judgement.

Cluster sampling should be used. This splits the population up into groups. For instance, we could split it up by race and sample that way. Or split it up by net worth. Or occupation. Whatever works best for this survey!

Hope I helped!

Katelyn is training for a marathon. This week she ran 6 miles less than 2 times the number of miles she ran the previous week. S
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

The system of Equations =

r = 2p - 6........ Equation 1

r + p = 42 ........Equation 2

Hence:

the number of miles she ran this week = r = 26 miles

the number of miles she ran the previous week = p = 16 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of miles:

the number of miles she ran this week = r

the number of miles she ran the previous week = p

Katelyn is training for a marathon. This week she ran 6 miles less than 2 times the number of miles she ran the previous week.

r = 2 × p - 6 miles

r = 2p - 6........ Equation 1

She ran a total of 42 miles in the two weeks.

r + p = 42 miles

r + p = 42 ........Equation 2

Which system of equations can be used to find the number of miles she ran this week, r, and the number of miles she ran the previous week,p?

The system of Equations =

r = 2p - 6........ Equation 1

r + p = 42 ........Equation 2

We substitute 2p - 6 for r in Equation 2

2p - 6 + p = 42

3p = 42 + 6

3p = 48

p = 48/3

p = 16 miles

Solving for r

r = 2p - 6........ Equation 1

r = 2(16) - 6

r = 32 - 6

r = 26 miles

Hence:

the number of miles she ran this week = r = 26 miles

the number of miles she ran the previous week = p = 16 miles

as a sales person at Trending Card Unlimited, Justin receives a monthly base pay plus commission on all that he sells. If he sel
Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

  $1025

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the 2-point form of the equation of a line to write a function that gives Justin's salary as a function of his sales.

We start with (sales, salary) = (400, 500) and (700, 575)

__

The 2-point form of the equation of a line is ...

  y = (y2 -y1)/(x2 -x1)(x -x1) +y1

  salary = (575 -500)/(700 -400)(sales -400) +500

  salary = 75/300(sales -400) +500

For sales of 2500, this will be ...

  salary = (1/4)(2500 -400) +500 = (2100/4) +500 = 1025

Justin's salary after selling $2500 in merchandise is $1025.
