Answer: 3. A summary is brief and focuses only on main ideas.

Explanation: When you paraphrase, you take a statement and you restate it including exactly the same information but changing the words and structure. If you compare a paraphrase with a summary, you will find that a benefit of the summary is that it restate a piece of writing but in a brief way. A summary just focuses on the main ideas and it does not include every single piece of information from the original text.
