The correct answer is B) had been granted a degree of self-rule when they were colonies.

Newly independent countries might have been best prepared to establish stable governments if they had been granted a degree of self-rule when they were colonies.

There are many cases in Latin American countries when this affirmation is exemplified. It is the case of Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Brasil, and Central America, as many others. Even nowadays, although Mexico and Brasil have modern industries and economic development, there is still inequity and poverty in low classes. Spanish domination in the case of Mexico and Peru, or the Portuguese conquerors in Brasil, were so dominant that never allowed its territories to have political participation. That is why they had revolutions.

Why would Germany worry about the alliance between France and Russia?
Mkey [24]
Germany worried about the alliance between France and Russia, for if they declared war on either one of them, they would have to fight a war in 2 fronts, and usually, when fighting a war in 2 fronts, your troops and supplies are strained, and you cannot use your full force on either side
