How many square feet of paper do you need to cover a cube with a side 10 in. long? Round your answer to two decimal places.
kvv77 [185]
<span>There are 144 square inches in a square foot. The cube you have has sides of 10 inches. First, find how many square feet are equal to one square inch (1/144, or 0.00694r). Then, multiply this by ten to tell you how many square feet you need to cover your cube. This makes 0.07 to two decimal places.</span>

The slope-intercept equation is y=mx+b.

The slope formula is \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

Our three points are (5,5), (-5,-7) and (0,-1)

Using our slope formula our slope becomes \frac{-7-5}{-5-5} =\frac{12}{10} =\frac{6}{5}

Then, if we use one of our points (pick whichever you want, although (0,1) is the easiest) to solve the equation. So, y=\frac{6}{5}x-1. When we solve for x and y, we get -1=0+b, or b=-1.

When we plug that back into the equation, we gety=\frac{6}{5}x-1.
