Since its volume you do what it says 55 cm x 100 cm x 80cm and do 100 x 50 which is 5,000. then 5,000 x 80 which is 40,000. sorry i cant show work on here.

Which element would have a full outer shell of electrons if it gained three electrons?
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

Octet Rule is defined as the chemical rule in which atoms tend to form bonds in such a way that it completes its valence shell or tend to achieve the configuration of a noble gas.

Explanation:

The lithium is chemical element, which has atomic number 3. It has one valence electron in its outermost shell, therefore, it will require 7 more electrons to complete its octet.

The element nitrogen has the atomic number 7, such that it has 5 valence electrons in its outer most shell. Therefore, it will require 3 more electrons to complete its octet.

The noble gas Argon have complete octet, such that it does not require any electrons to complete its octet. the gas is inert and non-reactive.

The chemical element Boron has atomic number 5, such that it has three electrons in its outer most shell. Therefore, it will require 5 more electrons to complete its octet.

Hence, the correct option is Nitrogen.

Which statements are true? Δ???? for an exothermic reaction is positive. Δ???? for an endothermic reaction is positive. The evap
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer: The true statements are \Delta H for an endothermic reaction is positive, a combustion reaction is exothermic and when energy is transferred as heat from the system to the surroundings, \Delta H is negative.

Explanation:

There are 2 types of chemical reactions categorized into heat change:

 1. Endothermic reactions: These reactions are defined as the reactions in which energy is absorbed by the system from the surroundings. The \Delta H for these reactions is always positive. For Example: Changing of water into water vapor.
 2. Exothermic reactions: These reactions are defined as the reactions in which energy is released by the system to the surroundings. The \Delta H for these reactions is always negative. For Example: Combustion reactions.

Combustion reactions are defined as the reactions in which a hydrocarbon reacts with oxygen gas to produce carbon dioxide and water. Heat is released during these reactions. Thus, it is considered as exothermic reactions.

Hence, the true statements are \Delta H for an endothermic reaction is positive, a combustion reaction is exothermic and when energy is transferred as heat from the system to the surroundings, \Delta H is negative.
