That gives the equation Ax=C which is a vertical line, so the slope is undefined.For the equation Ax + By = C (where A, B, C are

real numbers) what is the slope (in terms of the traditional y = mx+ b) and state any restrictions.

Ax+By = C can be solved for y to get

y = (-A/B)x + C/B

where
-A/B is the slope
C/B is the y intercept

The only restriction is that B cannot be 0. This is to avoid a division by zero error. If B is zero, then the slope is undefined and you get a vertical line like with Ax = C

What is the result when the sun 4x^2+8x-1 and 7x^2-3x+8 is multiplied by 5x^2?
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

55x^4+25x^3+35x^2

Step-by-step explanation:

5x²(4x^2+8x-1 and 7x^2-3x+8)

Applying distribution property,we have

  • 5x^2(4x^2+8x-1 + 7x^2-3x+8)
  • (5x^2)*(4x^2)+(5x^2)*(8x)+(5x^2)*(-1)+(5x^2)(7x^2)+(5x^2)*(-3x)+(5x^2)*(8)

Simplifying them,we have

  • 20x^4+40x^3−5x^2+35x4−15x^3+40x^2
  • 55x^4+25x^3+35x^2

Find the volume of the following square pyramid. geometry hw
Luda [366]

Given:

The square base pyramid with height 3 cm and base edge 2 cm.

To find:

The volume of the square pyramid.

Solution:

Volume of a square base pyramid is:

V=\dfrac{1}{3}Bh            ...(i)

Where, B is the base area and h is the height of the pyramid.

Base is a square with edge 2 cm, so the base area is:

B=a\times a

Where, a is the edge of the square base.

B=2\times 2

B=4

Putting B=4,h=3 in (i), we get

V=\dfrac{1}{3}(4)(3)

V=4

Therefore, the volume of the given pyramid is 4 cm³.

Loss = 10% VAT=13% SP WITH VAT=25,425 now calculate CP
marta [7]

The cost price of the product will be 25000.

How to calculate the price?

From the information given, the cost price is 25000. The loss is 10%. This will be:

= 25000 - (10% × 25000)

= 25000 - 2500

= 22500

The tax is 13%. This will be:

= 22500 + (13% × 22500)

= 22500 + 2925

= 25425

Suppose a stage for the Lunar New Year festival has a length of 24 feet and a width of 4x + 4 feet. If the area of the stage is
Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

The value of x is 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The stage is rectangular in shape.

The formula for area of a rectangle is:

Length × Width

Length = 24 feet

Width = 4x + 4 feet

Hence:

384 = (4x + 4) × (24)

384 = 96x + 96

Collect like terms

384 - 96 = 96x

288 = 96x

x = 288/96

x = 3

The value of x is 3

Which is the property that justifies the action?
lidiya [134]
A) Action: multiply both sides by 4.

Have a look:

(x/4)x4=16x4
x=64

As you can see, the value of x can be found by multiplying 4 on both sides.

Hope I helped :)
