Allison’s reactions demonstrate that something is hidden. That it is a fallacy, and that what she says has no sense at all because she wants to move out of her black neighborhood to suburbs where violent crime is 30 percent more than in her black neighborhood.

Probably, she is running away from something or someone. Or another possibility is that she or one of her children do something wrong and so that they are escaping.
