Biology

inna [77]3 years ago

Explanation:

Fossils are the preserved remains of organisms that are found in rocks. The give clues to how the earth has evolved in geologic past and the nature of organisms that lived during that period in time.

A lot of biases are known with fossil preservation as a geologic record might not tally with phylogenetic relationship developed by biologists.

 • Some fossils can become lost in the geologic record due to the dynamic nature of our planet. Earth materials can be eroded and weathered causing preserved fossils to be lost and exposed.
 • Some organisms are naturally favored due to their physiology to be preserved as fossils in the geologic record. Others would be lost. This makes records of life in preserved as fossils highly subjective.

Which of these statements describes a limitation of the Antarctic Treaty
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

The correct option is D) It does nothing to protect the atmosphere over Antarctica.

Explanation:

On December 1, 1959, the Antarctic Treaty was signed in Washington. According to this treaty, Antarctica was to be used for peaceful purposes. This treaty regulates international relations with the Antarctica region. Freedom to different scientists for research in this area was given through this treaty.

However, the treaty did not discuss anything related to the protection of the atmosphere around Antarctica. Hence, option D can be considered to be a limitation of the Antarctic Treaty System.

What happens when removing and organism from a food chain?
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

It depends on whether or not the organism is a producer or a predator. If the organism removed is a producer, every other organism that relies on said producer for food will not be able to survive. If the organism removed is a predator, the organisms that said predator eats will flourish, diminishing the natural resources in the ecosystem and inevitably starving the population of the ecosystem.
