Slavery is means people are owned by other people and rules applied to commodities are applied to people, this means slaves can be sell, won and buy and are considered as part of the property, also, slaves are forced to work with no payment or remuneration. During the 16th and 17th century people from Africa were enslaved and brought to America, by this time slaves were considered a commodity as they belong to one person or other and were sold or interchange in same terms than other products as any other commodity, because of this a triangular slave trade emerged which included trade of rum, sugar, and slaves between Africa, New England and Central America, in this trade, slaves were considered the same as rum and sugar and traded in the same term. Thus, in 1511 slaves were considered as a commodity.
