As of 2011, there were 96 women in the United States Congress. Out of these 96, 79 were part of the US House of Representatives. Considering that there are 535 members of Congress total (435 members of the House of Representatives and 100 members in the Senate) this equates to roughly 17.9%. This shows that men still make up a large majority of our Congress people.

Please, Give me information about Martin Luther King Junior. Bonus: 25 Points.
krok68 [10]

So just from the top of my head, he was an important activist in the civil rights movement, he spoke about a dream he had about the future of the US which was crucial because it really opened up Americans eyes. He wanted a peaceful world where racism did not exist and he encouraged us (especially the youth) to fight for their rights. He certainly was great.
